About this experience.

Spend a day with a Maasai community that is exclusive to Happy Tribe. Instead of a staged show you take part in daily life: learn Maasai words and beadwork, milk a goat, light a fire the traditional way, cook ugali in a manyatta, then sing, dance and jump with the villagers. Part of every booking supports the Happy Tribe Foundation, which sponsors school fees for children from underprivileged families.

Itinerary

How it unfolds.

1. Step 1

   Pick-up in Nairobi

   We confirm pick-up details the evening before and drive out of the Nairobi metropolitan area.

2. Step 2

   Market stop (Mon & Fri)

   On market days you see the livestock market, beadwork, herbs and attire being traded.

3. Step 3

   Village experience

   Learn Maasai words and beadwork, milk a goat, enter a manyatta, cook a basic meal, dance and sing.

4. Step 4

   Return to Nairobi

   We aim to be back before 4 pm; be flexible with timing, especially in a group.
